LOGOS Grades 2-6 Wednesday Ministry Program

LOGOS is the fun mid-week youth ministry program for Grades 2 - 6 at King of Glory. LOGOS meets on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:30 p.m. from September 20, 2017 through February 7, 2018 – 20 sessions total for this school year. LOGOS is a complement to Sunday school. We encourage families to participate in both programs.

LOGOS is ALL ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS!!
The LOGOS Ministry was founded in 1957.  The organization that leads it now is called GenOn Ministries. The purpose of the LOGOS Ministry is to nurture young people into faith and discipleship through Christian relationships – with peers, parents, youth, and other adults in our congregation. LOGOS is a ministry that includes people of ALL ages from our church – cross+generational. The Greek word “LOGOS” means “The Word” – the LOGOS Ministry helps churches bring The Word to children. King of Glory has been doing LOGOS for more than 20 years!!

The format for LOGOS includes:
  • Large Group time
Includes welcome, exploring the Good News Takeaway,  small group huddles and prayer.  During the 2017-2018 year we will be studying the Lord's Prayer.

  • Creation Station time
We meet by grades for creating things with our hands!  Using a variety of materials we will form, shape, create, destroy, build, craft, construct, decorate – all in celebration of our God who creates!

  • Game time
During structured play time, kids experience great fun through games and activities.

  • Family time
We share a joyous, delicious meal together centered around a fun theme. A table parent sits
with a consistent group of kids, encouraging caring conversation and the development of
Christian friendships among that table family.

Children’s Choir (King’s Kids Choir) for Grades 3-6 has rehearsals on Wednesdays from 4:14-5:00 p.m. Many kids attend rehearsal and then go to LOGOS after it’s over.

$75 fee/child for the year covers meals, craft supplies, game supplies, and decorations. Fees are adjusted for more than one student in a family.  Payment plans and scholarships are available. Registration form is included on the Sunday School registration form which can be found on the Sunday School section on this website or copies are available at the church.

LOGOS depends on the involvement of ALL parents of LOGOS students. Each parent/guardian is required to assist in some way. These helping positions include: creation station leader and helpers, games leader and helpers, food buyer, cooks, kitchen clean-up help, decorations coordinator, and table parents.
