I'm New

Welcome!  Thanks for checking us out online.  Whether you are new to Billings, new to Christianity, or just looking for a church home, we pray for God’s guidance and wisdom for you. It can be difficult finding a spiritual place and people to connect with along your spiritual journey.  We hope that you will catch the spirit of joy and service through Jesus Christ that we live out here at King of Glory (KOG).  Please browse our website, visit us, or contact us with any questions you may have.  Below, we offer an overview of our ministries.
If you are interested in becoming a member at King of Glory, stop in or call KOG's church office to get a new member packet. 406-652-1690.
Each week we gather in a casual setting to praise God, confess our brokenness, receive forgiveness and healing, sing, hear Scripture read and proclaimed, pray, receive the Lord’s Supper (Communion) and support each other.  The music is primarily piano and keyboard combined with a variety of instrumentation.  We have an inspiring adult choir, a rousing King's Kid choir and an amazing hand bell choir. Children are always welcome at our worship services!  We have a staffed nursery available for children ages four and under.  Our worship space has large windows with lots of natural light. You are invited to come and worship with us. We welcome all people.

Children’s Ministries
We believe that faith starts in the home and is grown and nourished there.  Our children’s ministries support faith development at home.  We offer Sunday School (ages three to 6th grade) and a mid-week program for grades 2-6.  Both of these programs are led by parents, volunteers, and staff.  Included in each are Bible Study, crafts, games, music and service projects.  Family service days and our Advent Festival are popular inter-generational activities that happen occasionally.

Youth Ministries
We offer ministries for middle school and senior high youth.  Studies show that parents are the number one influence on the faith development of children throughout the teen years.  Our programs are designed to support faith that is planted and nourished at home.

7th and 8th grade students and families participate in Confirmation.  Confirmation is a two year discipleship course at the end of which students publicly affirm their baptism into the faith of Jesus Christ.  Confirmation includes classes, small groups, retreats, and services projects.
Middle school and High School students participate in a variety of activities from a weekly gathering with Bible Study and games to retreats and summer mission trips.   Our youth director is available for one-on-one conversations with students.

Adult Ministries
We offer a variety of adult ministries including small groups, support groups, service groups, a young adult group, and other one time event groups. Bible studies and other adult education classes are offered. This is an area we are developing and growing.  Maybe you have ideas to help us!

Jesus said that he did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life for many (Mark 10:45).  As followers of Jesus, we strive to follow where he led.  We care for each other through prayer, visitation and meal ministry.  Throughout the year we organize service projects such as Habitat for Humanity to work trips to the Rocky Boy Reservation to New Orleans or Minot to help re-build homes and communities.  Every few months, we host the homeless through Family Promise of Yellowstone Valley ( formerly Interfaith Hospitality Network), a ministry we share with several other churches. Family Promise provides temporary housing in local churches for homeless families. We give financially to local and global agencies that support those in need.   In addition to our collective work, you will find King of Glory parishioners throughout Billings and the surrounding area serving the community and the world through their vocations and volunteer work.
